Positive Phrases: Why Most People Do Them Wrong!

Positive Phrases: Why Most People Do Them Wrong! by Suzanne Glover

Positive phrases are easy to master when you know a couple of tricks. The first thing to keep in mind when choosing positive words and phrases is thinking about the end result you desire. This article gives you tips on how to do positive phrases correctly and why keeping positive thoughts works so well in making you happy.

WHY POSITIVE THOUGHTS WORK SO WELL: The first thing to remember when learning how to use positive phrases correctly is that positive words and phrases carry with them a “positive energy” that can get embedded into your mind and body. In fact, the more positive thoughts you think on a consistent basis, the more you are actually changing your body's chemistry to create more positive thoughts. If you can keep it up long enough, your body will actually become addicted to having a mindset full of positive words and phrases that will make it easier for you to stay happy.

HOW PEOPLE DO POSITIVE PHRASES INCORRECTLY: Many people think that they are correctly reciting positive phrases when they say things like, “I am losing weight,” but the reality of this phrase is that it focuses on “weight.” A better choice when using positive thinking phrases for weight control would be to get down to your core desire, which is to be slim and beautiful, and instill positive thoughts of “I am rapidly becoming slim and beautiful.”

FAMOUS POSITIVE THINKING PHRASES NOT TO USE: Ever hear the term, “Don't worry, be happy?” Well, when I say to you “Don't worry,” your mind automatically picks up the subject of that sentence, which is worry. Why not drop the first two words of that sentence which focus your mind on “worry,” and instead focus your mind on being happy by just saying “be happy?” The same is true with, “No pain, no gain.” Does that motivate you to think positive thoughts, or thoughts about pain?

POSITIVE THINKING PHRASES THAT ENHANCE YOUR DESIRE: The bottom line that you want to get to when doing positive thinking exercises such as creating positive phrases is that you want to choose positive words and phrases that tell your subconscious exactly what you want it to do. One way to get to your core desire is to journal out your thoughts about the change you'd like to make in yourself and see what words come up.

WHY PEOPLE DO POSITIVE PHRASES WRONG: Another reason many people are not successful at instilling positive words and phrases into their minds enough to make substantial change is because they don't see the positive words and phrases consistently enough to get absorbed on a level that makes a difference. This is where having positive thinking quotes around you either on your computer screen, on your desk or on your walls will keep the “positive flow” going into your mind enough to make change.

HOW TO GET STARTED WITH POSITIVE PHRASES THAT WORK: First, get down to your core desire. Second, learn which words not to use when creating positive words and phrases, and lastly, keep all your positive thinking quotes and positive phrases around you enough to have them be completely absorbed by your mind and body enough to get addicted to them and make your journey to becoming positive run on auto pilot.

Suzanne Glover tells you which words not to use as well as gives examples of effective positive phrases and more insight on how to create positive thinking phrases that work at effective-positive-thinking.com.

The Life Changing Power Of Positive Thoughts

The Life Changing Power Of Positive Thoughts by Don Schoolcraft

Positive thoughts foster desirable images, conceptions, words, sentiments, emotions, energy or vibrations of joy, happiness, achievement, expansion and development.

The brain is a strong instrument in bringing about life changing effects so nourishing it with positivism pulls in what it wants.
The cosmos is made up of good and bad energy. If yours is a positive one, you emanate it and like a magnet, you will get all the favorable results.

Some will call it luck. Others might call it success achieved through hard work.

But have you noticed that truly successful people seem not afraid to go wrong? Why is that? Because they don’t think they would fail in the first place. This attitude makes a great difference.

Positive thoughts are as powerful as negative thoughts so it is important to keep your emotions and mental attitude towards all aspects of life under control. Of course, you can’t always eliminate negative thoughts in your life, but you can certainly minimize it by training your mind to view the bright side of things.

In other words, you should harness the power of positive thinking to be successful.

Change don't happen overnight. Positive thinking takes focus, practice and determination. No matter how things develop, problems are simply a part of life and giving in to your emotions is only normal.

What you should keep in mind is to make a switch as soon as you acknowledge any negative thoughts. Don’t dwell on it too long. Instead think of happy and cheerful events in your life. Smile frequently to break a gloomy situation.

Positive thoughts become effective when reinforced. Affirmations tend to help a lot. Repeat one affirmation every day. You may also learn inspirational quotes or stories. Listen to a happy song and if you feel like it, start dancing. Create a list of positive words and repeat each several times.

Envision what you want to have in your life and how having those things or situations may benefit you.

Maybe you want a new car because you want to shuttle to and from your work and home effortlessly? Then think about the comfort of hassle-free traveling. You wouldn’t be late for your work anymore and more significantly; you’ll be more productive. When you get more productive, you will be up for promotion shortly.

See, how these thoughts lead to bigger and beneficial results? Once you have mastered this method, you can easily aspire for anything and get it.

Maintaining A Positive Approach To Daily Life

by Simon Barnett

It's sometimes all too easy to feel like life isn't going as well as it should be. Minor niggles can develop into more significant issues, causing you to spend more time thinking about what's going wrong. The truth is, however, that you might feel better if you take a more positive attitude.

This could, of course, be said to be easy in theory. But the reality may be substantially different, causing you to question whether you can achieve the happiness that you seek. It's not a simple process to escape from a cycle of negativity and this is something that may concern you. How can you make the changes that are necessary in order to allow you to think in a different way?

It's sometimes necessary to take steps that may seem to be rather strange. You might start, as an example, by making a list of all the great things that you have in your life. Such a list might include absolutely everything, from loved ones to ice cream that can currently be found within your freezer at home!

As I said, this may seem like a rather odd thing to do. So why is it something that you would even consider? The answer is that you should look to avoid the danger of assuming that all is going wrong in life. It may well be the case that improvements can be made, but it's unlikely that things are as bad as they first appear.

Once you start making the list, you'll discover that it's hard to stop a smile from forming on your lips. You'll consider great things in life and many of the reasons why you actually enjoy the daily routine. You'll certainly see that there's a lot to be happy about. This is a list that you should keep safe too.

You might, for instance, want to pin it on a message board. Alternatively, it could be attached to your fridge. Ideally, you'll want to place it somewhere that it can be seen every single day. Every time you look at the list, you'll be reminded of the fantastic elements of your life.

This focus on positive issues is likely to become more and more important to you. A number of scientific studies have discovered that people who believe that they are lucky will tend to get more positive results in life. In a sense, they will actually become lucky as a result. The same can be true when it comes to happiness.

If you assume that you have a lot to be happy about, then it's likely that more and more situations will make you smile. What you'll discover is that you actually have a lot to smile about and to be thankful for.

Living life in a positive way can be hugely rewarding. It's something that you may want to try!

Think about counselling Belfast services and how they can change your outlook, as discussed in more articles by Simon Barnett. This article may be used by any website publisher, though this resource box must always be included in full.

3 Simple Steps to Stop Limiting Beliefs Destroying Your Life

Have you ever stopped and wondered why some days nothing can stop you achieving grand and glorious things yet other days you are flat out getting out of bed?

Well the solution may be closer at hand than you think.

You see, most of what we create in our lives is created from our thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs. Most of these are what has been shared with us growing up from well meaning family, friends, colleagues, teachers........the list goes on.

Unless you are aware of this happening, which most people aren’t, you just accept what others tell you about YOU. Hence your reality is created through the eyes of others not through your eyes. If you’ve been told all your life that you are fat, skinny, stupid, adorable, intelligent, slow or absolutely brilliant, what do you think you are going to think and believe about yourself? More than likely what you have been told over and over again.

This point is not about making the people around you wrong for what they said to you, they were doing the best they could with what they had at the time. The point is about being aware that all of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs may not be yours. Having them as part of your life may not be in your best interest.

So with new found awareness of your thoughts and beliefs you can start to change your life (if you choose!)

Instead of your limiting thoughts and beliefs destroying your life, you now get to destroy them. How much better than that does it get?

Just follow these three simple steps:

1. Be willing to have awareness of your thoughts, beliefs etc that may be destroying your life

2. When you notice them say to yourself: Everything that is destroy and uncreate it please. This puts you in charge so you can create your life how you want, not being destroyed by your thoughts, beliefs etc

3. Ask yourself: What else could I create here? What else is possible?

If this doesn’t work for you, try my visualize and vaporise technique. Simply visualise the thought, belief etc in a balloon and the watch it vaporise into thin air. Then visualise another balloon and fill it with thoughts etc you would like to have about a certain situation/person.

Staying Positive is the Secret of Attraction

By: Dr Robert Anthony

The secret of attraction is wholly dependent on practicing positive thoughts and actions. The more negative you are about your endeavors, the less likely it will be for you to succeed in them. Just be more assertive and aggressive with your behavior and you’ll be amazed by how much you can achieve. Just check out the examples below if you want a clearer idea:

1. The secret of attraction to win people over to your cause. Let’s say you’re promoting a cause. It may be something that has to do with the environment, choosing to become a vegetarian, or voting for your political candidate. Such platforms can be pretty tough to promote in a polarized nation such as ours, but if you want to attract people to your cause, you need to first believe in what you’re fighting for. Believe it or not, people in general can ascertain if you’re truly passionate about the issue or just a paid mouthpiece! But when you radiate passion and enthusiasm and speak with authority on the subject, the higher your chances of convincing them to join you.

2. The secret of attraction to having more money in your life. If you want to attract wealth, you need to stop letting your money control you and instead, learn to control it to suit your goals. For example, all your life, you’ve seen how your mother could not control her spending. Shopping was a way to make her feel good, no matter how much debt she was accruing year in and year out. You need to stop equating your self esteem with how much money you can spend to impress your friends, which is a negative no-no. Start viewing money as neither good nor bad, but as a tool to help you live a stable and comfortable life. Using positive thoughts and actions like moderating your spending and paying bills on time are just some ways to bring in more money –not debt – into your life!

3. The secret of attraction to help you win a client: If you’re in sales, you know what a cutthroat industry it can be. Many sales people would sell their grandmothers down the river just to nab an important client. On a less exaggerated note, they would even try to steal a fellow salesperson’s client by encroaching into the transaction. Don’t play dirty like those people, for in this universe there is such a thing as karmic comeuppance. Strive to be ethical and upstanding in your occupation. Carry out only positive thoughts and actions when conducting your business and pretty soon you will build a good name for yourself and attract clients. Leave the monkey business to your less ethical colleagues who will only end up having a reputation for being unscrupulous and irritating.

4. The secret of attraction to attaining inner peace. You don’t need to go to a temple and surround yourself with silent monks to achieve inner peace. The first step to achieving it is by choosing to focus only on positive thoughts and actions, which include forgiving yourself and others. In order to move on, you need to let go of the past. Even something as recent as yesterday’s mess up in the office should be treated as history. Learn from your errors and think of corrective actions rather than telling yourself, “I wish I hadn’t done that.”

5. The secret of attraction to get the body you want. Yes, the doctor said you need to lose fifteen pounds. And no, pinning a photo of a supermodel on your refrigerator is not going to help you lose those fifteen pounds no matter how many times you stare at the image. The photo, however, may serve as a daily inspiration and reminder on the kind of body you’re aiming for. As you watch your food intake and carry out your daily exercise regimen, look at that picture to push you into sticking to the program – and stop you from popping a few pieces of chocolate in your mouth.

If you have concerns similar to the ones listed above, then you should know by now that you should just harness the secret of attraction to make things work out well for you. Positive thoughts and actions are far more potent than you could ever imagine, so go on and try them out for yourself!

Take Positive Action To Turn Dreams Into Reality

By: Tom Cramer

Dreaming and thinking about achieving big things is inspiring. But such positive thinking is effective only when you take an action. You might have all the knowledge in the world to do a particular thing but what is the use of that knowledge unless you act upon it?

After all, knowledge and skills can remain only pieces of information stored in your mind if you sit idle and do not utilize them to achieve your goal. Simply having knowledge and good thoughts will not take you anywhere. So in order to achieve your desired results and experience the personal development you would like to see in yourself, you have to combine knowledge with the necessary action.

Self help is the best fuel for growth

Of course, you need to have the vision in your mind regarding where you want to see yourself in the future. But all those thoughts and vision require conscious action from your side to turn your dreams into reality. Remember even the most successful people would not have reached their milestones without taking action.

Many of us avoid taking the initiative because of fear of losing. But keep in mind that the ultimate failure is not losing. Rather failure is the malady of not trying at all.

So take action no matter how small it is. You will be amazed to see that even the smallest of self help actions can have an impact. The idea is to keep moving forward.

Choose the more difficult option

For instance, you may aspire to take a business management course to give shape to your dream of becoming a successful business manager but are petrified of math. One option is to simply give up your dream and opt for another career. That is definitely the easy way out. The other option is to think positive, fight your fear of math, practice hard to upgrade your skills and get the help that you need.

The first and easier option will push you towards another career, while the second, more difficult option will help you build your dream career. Which one would you value more? To be stuck in a career you didn’t want … or to feel good about building the career of your dreams?

No matter what your goal is, be it to launch your own company, become a fashion designer, a ballet dancer or finish your PhD ... you have to keep taking consistent action towards your goal. Once you take the first step, it will be far easier for you to take the next step. But if you do nothing at all, nothing will be your result.

Success secret: Be ready for the big leap

The success secret of all successful people is that they don't just talk or visualize. They take action. When the going gets tough, they take small but steady steps … and when opportunity knocks, they are prepared to take the big jump. The key to success lies in consistently trying without quitting.

It is not a stroke of luck that brings success. It is the combination of vision with the required action … one step at a time. And don't lose heart when you start anything new. Always remember most beginnings are small and seem insignificant, but as you take each step toward your goal you become closer to achieving it.

It is extremely difficult in the beginning, so you need to push yourself and keep yourself motivated. Read inspiring self help books, encouraging quotes and watch inspirational sayings videos that offer ways to improve personal development and give you the necessary push to take action.

The Power of Positive Thinking: How to Think Positively

The Power of Positive Thinking: How to Think Positively

By Drew Graham

Almost everybody agrees that thinking positively is one of the keys to being successful, this is why it is so frequently offered as advice to people. The problem is that it is not nearly as easy to think positively as a lot of people imagine, if it were everybody would be happy and successful. Learning how to have positive thoughts is a skill that has to be learned, the following tips should help you to get started.

One of the best ways to make sure that you are able to think positively is whenever you set out to do something always picture the task successfully completed before you start. This is fairly common advice in which you are told to picture the end results, the problem is that most people just leave it there. Obviously picturing yourself as being successful is not going to be enough, you will have to take action. It is however a very good start and is something that you should get into the habit of doing.

Another way to have positive thoughts is to learn about other successful people. This can be done in any number of ways but the most common are to read biographies of them or to watch television shows about them. When you see that other people have had success it will make it a lot easier for you to believe that you can do the same thing. Their success does not even have to be in the same field you are pursuing, it is enough to see other people who have succeeded.

Getting in the habit of using positive words every time you talk will go a long way to helping you think positive. It is common for people to say things like "I think I can do that" when really they should be saying "I can do that". This subtle change will have a huge impact on your thinking and you will soon believe that you actually can do it.

One last thing that you can do to help you think positive is to work on improving your posture. This may not seem like a bit issue but it is. If you stand up straight you will feel more confident and if you feel more confident you will believe that you can do anything. This is another one of those things that you will want to get into the habit of doing all the time. This will result in your being more confident all of the time and having positive thoughts all of the time.

The best way to use the power of positive thinking is by using positive affirmations.

Attitude for Greatness

What is attitude? It is what you think, believe, feel, expect, act, in relation to yourself, life, people, and your goals. Attitude can be positive or it can be negative; it can be limiting or it can be expanding; if you have a positive attitude, you feel alive, well, loved, happy, liked, confident,...you feel good; if you have a negative attitude, you feel angry, resentful, fearful, depressed, anxious, hopeless,... you feel bad. Your feelings are your thermometer to your attitude and, as we will see below, your life is the mirror to your attitude.

Now, how is your attitude, how is your dominant attitude? Is it positive, and expanding, or is it negative and limiting? What do you think you can achieve? Who do you think you are? What do you think about yourself? What do you think about other people? Do you think they are out there to get you or to help you? Do you expect to be liked by people or do you expect to be 'judged'? Do you expect to be lucky? Do you expect to achieve your goals? Do you expect that life is going to be difficult, that you will have to struggle to make money, or do you expect life is wonderful and enjoyable?

Your expectations determine what will happen in your life, as very simply, what you expect, you get. So, if you are not sure of what your expectations really are, take a look at your life: whatever you have in your life right now is a reflection of who you are inside and the vibrations you send out. If you are struggling with money, with your health, with a relationship, with your job, with people, it means that somewhere your attitude is not healthy. So, if you want to change your life, you need to change yourself, you need to change your attitude.

In fact, a healthy attitude is when you feel good about yourself, when you know that you will achieve your goals, when you know people will like and love you, when you know that things will work out, when you know you are precious and the Universe is conspiring to your happiness. A healthy attitude is when you love people, when you love yourself, when you thank God for who you are and for all the wonderful gifts you have, for all the people you have in your life, for all that has happened to you, because that has made you the person you are today.

So, your attitude towards yourself has a strong impact on your self-love, on the way you treat yourself, and so, on your health- mental, emotional, and physical. Your attitude towards people will have a strong impact on the response you will get from them, because if you love them, if you are grateful, if you appreciate them, if you are kind, they will love you back. So, three emotions are a key to great relationships: gratitude, kindness and love. In fact, as the most important needs of any human being are the need for connection, the need to feel appreciated and the need to feel loved, and everything that happens in your life happens through people, whether is in your personal or professional life, you need to have a very positive attitude here. And this means always, really always, look at the positive and best in people, you included. Look at the positive in people and circumstances, and they will become that, you will take out the best from them, and you will attract more of that. And look at the best in you, in how extraordinary and unique you truly are, look at your gifts, qualities and strengths, and you will develop a healthy esteem and love for yourself.

And your attitude towards life will determine your success or failure, whether you will achieve your goals and be the best you can be, or whether you are going to struggle. Now, your attitude towards your goals is also something more than that, because the expectation of achievement whether is the person you want to become or a goal you want to achieve, makes you become that person and achieve what you want before you actually have done it. It is the Law of Attraction. And the more you have expectations and you take actions to achieve your goals, the faster you are going to achieve them. So, let us suppose you want to be confident or you want to be successful, if you have the attitude and the expectations of being confident and successful, you are going to feel confident and successful already now. It is simply a shift in your consciousness.

Now, let us suppose you have developed a healthy attitude towards yourself, life, people, and your goals. What do you do when you encounter negative people or negative circumstances? What do you do when somebody gets angry at you? What do you do when you are driving and someone cuts in your way? Well, we need to develop an immune attitude, learn to be immune to negativity. You need to learn not to let anything disturb your peace of mind. You can simply ignore it and smile it away. And think that things are temporary, that if you have a great attitude, you will create a life where you have all that you desire and deserve, a wonderful life, guaranteed.

So, what is the attitude you are going to choose?

Positive Thinking - Can the Way You Think Affect Your Health Physically? by Suzanne Glover

Positive thinking sometimes can be perceived as a lot of "fluff," but science has been able to prove that there's more to it than just the "placebo effect." In fact, this article answers the question, "How to be Positive Automatically" because it discusses one of the best benefits of positive thinking that makes maintaining positive attitude routine.

BECOMING ADDICTED TO POSITIVE THOUGHTS: Remember when you were upset as a kid and inevitably Mom would try to change your attitude by saying, "Everything's going to be alright?" Whether Mom knew about the power of positive thinking or not, those words were the best thing for her to say at the moment. Today, if we can be that "Mom figure" to ourselves and use positive thoughts and positive phrases like, "Everything's going to be alright," then we are actually using a very old "home remedy" to ignite different biological reactions within our bodies.

So, what exactly does that mean? It means that science has discovered that you can use the power of positive thinking for maintaining positive attitude and actually get "hooked" or "addicted" to it on a biological level.

One way that this happens is that your mind puts out chemicals that coincide with your emotions. So, when you're using positive thoughts to stay happy, your brain is actually flooding your body with "happy" chemicals. The interesting thing that occurs in this regard, though, is that your body may not be equipped to handle all the happy chemicals "coming down the pipe" if you've been depressed for a long time and are new to using the power of positive thinking to your advantage. So, your body has to make physical changes to adapt to the new flow of happy chemicals. Can it do this? Yes!

In fact, one of the best benefits of positive thinking is that as you get better and better at maintaining positive attitude, you are consistently putting out "happy" chemicals and your body produces more and more cell receptors - or portals - to receive the new flood of chemicals, and this is pretty exciting news if you need motivation to change your attitude. Why? Because the more positive you become mentally, the more "happy chemicals" your body prepares to receive and craves, so your body helps you stay happy in order to get its "fix" of happy chemicals. This is where you can say attitude is contagious because your body wants more "happy juice" so your mind puts out more "happy chemicals" to satisfy the "cravings" of your body for "happy juice" so you don't have to think about "how to be positive" anymore. You're on auto pilot!

POSITIVE THINKING CREATES A "SMARTER" BRAIN: Positive thinking also has a positive impact on how the brain itself functions. Research in the field of positive psychology has shown that when a brain is kept positive by maintaining positive attitude, it actually creates more neural pathways faster and has an increased ability to problem solve and "think better." In other words, practicing the power of positive thinking and maintaining positive attitude are like feeding your brain "super food" to help it thrive.

So, can positive thinking affect your health in a positive way? Yes. In fact, when you're super charging your brain with positive thoughts, it runs better and since it's the central computer to your body, it floods your body with positive chemicals that keep you healthy and happy.

Suzanne Glover further discusses how to automatically become positive as well as offers effortless ways to finding greater well being at effective-positive-thinking.com.
